Outlawz CAS Challenge

 Come join our Clean & Simple (CAS) Challenge Group over at the Outlawz! Stephnie, Pryn,  Maureen, Cheri, Lisa, Amy, Ardyth and I would be so  glad if you joined us this week :)

Now down to the business at hand...your challenge is:

Travel related products are huge in paper crafting right now.  As summer approaches, make a "travel" inspired project or card (think maps, transportation or postage)!

Here's my card for this week:
I used Red Rubber Designs Stamps: Ancient Map background stamp and a newly released set called Just Bee-Cuz. Those fun large,red eyelets are also from the Red Rubber Designs store.

Red Rubber designs New Release Blog Hop

If you've come from Kate's blog you already know The Bicycle Lady needs a name - and we need your help to find it! Each blog on the hop (except the Red Rubber Designs Blog) has one of the letters of the Bicycle Lady's name somewhere in their blog hop post. Once you find all seven letters (that's a hint!) put them together to form her name. You may have to rearrange them a little bit!

Note: The letter you need from each blog will be obvious if you read carefully.... it looks just a little different from the rest of the letters!

Red Rubber Designs Tutorial Tuesday

Hi! I recently made a technique tutorial for Red Rubber Designs. I hope you'll pop by their blog and check it out. If you like it you can download it from the  Red Rubber Designs store as a free pdf. You can find this and other tutorials in their information column in the side bar.

See the little pieced center strip? It's from the Seminole Indian style of quilting. Of course I used paper here, not fabric. It makes a fun border for cards... don't cha think?  ;D

 

Outlawz CAS Challenge

This is my take on the challenge:

Very clean and simple...my household element is duct tape. I put a piece across a scrap of card stock and cut out Spellbinder's stars. Fun and I really like my duct tape stars I may have to do this again sometime!

My sentiment stamp is from Red Rubber Designs. Beautiful font and lovely sentiment. It's from the Savvy Sayings stamp set. 

 

Lovely Birds

Just a little card made from sweet NinaB's Lovely Birds stamp set.  ;D

 

The top panel of the card is pieced together in the Seminole Indian style of quilting.

Spring to Summer

Looking over the next couple of months on my calendar I realized we have less than two months of school left. Summer is rolling in!

My twinsies are 5th graders heading into middle school...yikes!  ;D  They are so fortunate to have had the BEST teachers each and every year of elementary school. Time to start thinking about teacher gifts and thank you cards!

Here is one of the cards I've gotten made so far:

I usually do cutesy type cards... but when I saw this quote I immediately thought of my son's teacher. She is amazing... she is an interesting and fun teacher and person. She has instilled so much confidence in my little guy this year. He loves her very much and chatters about her all the time...I love that! Thank you Mrs. Kings!

I love this little fella! He's from the stamp set "Hedgehog Blocks". You can find this set at Red Rubber Designs. ;D Patterned paper and white card stock is also from Red Rubber Designs.

 

Vanilla, Chocolate or Strawberry?

All of the above, please! 

I love them all. ;D I'm craving ice-cream this morning... I'm trying to be good and wait until after lunch but maybe I'll have ice-cream for lunch! I'm a bad, bad girl! lol

Of course, making this card, this morning may have been what started my craving! These Red Rubber Designs stamp sets may not be good for my diet.... but they sure are uplifting and fun to create with on this dreary, rainy day!  

 

This cute background stamp is Gingham and the ice-cream cone are from the Sugar Coated Sweetness stamp set. Both are newly released stamps from  Red Rubber Designs. My baby pink twine is from The Twinery.
